I'm a Red Belt now! Just passed my test last night. No mistakes and I did my two board breaks on the 1st try. I rock.

(x-posted)

Hi everyone. This is my first time posting here so be nice. :) A couple of months ago we lost power for about 18 hours. With not much to do after it got dark, I decided to play with my new camera and tripod a little and get some shots of candles we had around the house. Here are the results

I have another blog that I write in now. I'm really only using LJ for the communities. If you want to know the address for my blog, email me: eli @ theboghs.com.

Yeeha.

It's so sad that there are still parts of the country that think like this.

Ei yi yi we spent a lot of money over the weekend. Money that we did not need to spend. Ah well. There were sales everywhere and who can pass up a good sale? My motto has been...if something good is on sale, you can't afford NOT to buy it! ;)

Anyway, the best deal we found by far was Dan's "suit stuff" for the fancy shmancy dinners on the cruise we're going on in a couple of weeks. We got a full suit (pants & coat), 2 pair of socks, a shirt, and a tie for $170. The suit itself was on sale for $99. It was originally $350! Do we know how to find a deal, or what?! :D We also got him a pair of shoes for $50...not that great of a deal, but oh well.

I got some stuff from Michael's for about $45 (scrapbooking stuff). I got 25% off of everything, so it would have been more. Plus, most of the stuf I bought was already 25% off, so I got a lot for a total of about 50% off. Yeah.

We spent about $70 at Barnes & Noble....stuff that wasn't on sale...the newest Trivial Pursuit game (why I play this, I don't know. I always lose.), a book on making mixed drinks ("The Official Bar Book" or something like that. Has over 2300 drink recipes), and the Audioslave CD.

I got my tripod, about $40.

Got two 50-packs of CD-R's for $12 total at Office Depot. (That's an AWESOME deal!)

Spent about $70 at Best Buy and got a pair of walkie-talkie radios for $30 (7-mile range! They were originally about $80 I think), the X2 DVD (X-Men 2), some batteries and something else I think. Can't remember. That doesn't seem to total to the $70 or so that we spent... Hmm..

Spent $40 at the liquor store. Our liquor mysteriously disappeared... I *know* we used to have some Absolut Citron, some tequila and I thought we had some kind of schnapps (blackberry?), but it has gone missing. I'm thinking I took it over to Mary's at some point (because we almost always drink over there) and forgot about it). So we got some Seagrams 7 (7 & 7's...yummm), Margaritaville Tequila (for Dan the Parrothead), and a small bottle of Skyy Vodka (I'm not a big Vodka person).

So there ya go. We spent more between the shopping...for food, eating out, etc...but yeah. That's a lot of money that we did not need to spend. The only necessary items were Dan's clothes.

We were going to make a trip to Old Navy (you can never have enough fleece!), but we decided not to. I also totally forgot that I needed to get some black heals to go with my dress that I'm wearing on the cruise. Doh. I'll have to get some this week.

Yeah. I hate money. I hope we have enough left for the cruise. Bah.

Ahh, "Black Friday". It is crazy downtown today. Unfortunately I have to work, but I did manage to get myself to the camera store, where I bought a tripod for my camera, and Office Depot, where I got two 50-packs of CD-R's for $12 total (buy one get one free). Good deal, eh? I was also going to get a pair of Motorola walkie-talkies ($19 after rebates) and the Microsoft wireless optical keyboard/mouse combo ($30 after rebates), but they were already sold out. Oh well.

We'll probably hit a few more stores on the way home and see whats left. Meh.

I think this layout is pretty, don't you? I know it's one of LJ's defaults, but I probably won't change it. I'm lazy. It is pretty though. Very "soft". Love it.

I'm really enjoying LiveJournal and have found several interesting journals and communities to read. I probably won't update as often here, but I'll stay a LJ member so that I can join in on the community aspect. I do have another blog that I update almost daily. If you're interested in that you can email me at "elibogh AT yahoo DOT com" and I'll give you the link.

LiveJournal is pretty cool. I have a couple of friends on here so wanted to join to check out the "Friends" feature, which is nice. I also like all of the communities available. Very cool stuff. Still kind of playing around with it and don't have much time to do stuff at work, but eventually I'll get more stuff on here. For now, this layout is pretty, isn't it? :D
